EnBW Usability Training
Knowledge transfer for 290 employees of the South German energy supplier
A high quality of usability and the user experience as a whole is by now understood to be a valuable competitive advantage in many branches of industry. For years we have been helping to establish this mindset, not least by offering training courses in the fields of usability engineering and interface design.
In the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2010, we trained 290 employees from EnBW, one of Germany's big energy suppliers, and provided them with technical knowledge on usability engineering. The scope of the course ranged from the economic meaning of usability (return on investment - ROI), over special methodical competencies to practical user-centred design processes.
We are delighted to share our knowledge, since everyone who is made aware of these issues can contribute to making complex technical systems less complicated for users. Such understanding is a valuable foundation for the collaboration in user-centred design projects.
